Overview
An experienced, kind and energetic Nanny to care for 2 children is sought for a home in Rosedale, Toronto, Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent, live-out position with primarily daytime hours. Occasional evening hours may be required.

Primary Responsibilities of the Employee
-Provide all aspects of childcare to 2 children aged 1 and 5.
-Create a safe, nurturing and communicative environment for the children.
-Teach the children about basic personal care like brushing their teeth, brushing their hair, frequent hand washing etc.
-Prepare healthy, kid-friendly meals each day.
-Assist the children with their homework.
-Plan and supervise outings, parties, play-dates, and sleepovers.
-Encourage a healthy lifestyle.
-Ensure that the children get sufficient exercise each day.
-Respond to the various needs of the employer.
-Source and replenish products and household items.
-Pack and unpack luggage for children.
-Create and maintain inventory and grocery lists.
-Perform various types of errands.
-Reinforcing the family rules and procedures for the children.
-Assist with household maintenance duties as needed.  
-Chauffeur as needed.
-Other duties from time to time.

Job Requirements/Applicant Qualities
-3+ years experience working as a nanny, teacher’s aide or in a daycare.
-Must have a car in good working order.
-CPR and Infant First Aid Training
-Education in the field of child development or similar an asset.
-College or university an asset.
- Full license and clean driving record.
-Experience around horses and livestock an asset.
-Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
-Second language an asset but not a necessity.
-Comfortable in a rural setting.
-Trustworthy and reliable.
-Capability to stay organized while multi-tasking.
-Ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Eager to provide high-quality service.
-Must be flexible in their job duties and willing to accept and embrace change.

Salary
Commensurate with experience and candidate qualities/capabilities.

Additional Information
Monday to Friday, daytime hours.
Occasional weekend hours available if the candidate is interested.
2 weeks of paid vacation.
