Primary Responsibilities
-Experienced with AR, AP and Payroll full cycle accounting.
-Prepare capital project billings and liaise with third party consultants, as required
-Processing of weekly payroll for salary and hourly employees including required journal entry.
-Respond to inquiries regarding payroll related accounting issues
-Prepare and file T4s along with all other payroll related reconciliations
-Liaise with other departments such as HR and Operations, as required
-Perform bank and other balance sheet reconciliations
-Perform reconciliation of company credit cards
-Prepare and file GST/QST and other government remittance filings, as required
-Prepare journal entries for stock material allocation to capital projects
-Calculate inventory cost on hand for fiscal year-end
-Process capital project budget revisions into accounting software
-Prepare and file T5018 Statement of Contract Payments
-Prepare and respond to credit application requests from other departments

Job Requirements
-Minimum of 5 years’ general accounting and payroll experience
-Post-secondary accounting education a plus
-Bilingual in French. Written and verbal fluency required
  
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
-Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Experience with Simply Accounting (Sage 50), Desjardins and Ceridian Dayforce a plus
-Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
-Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment (frequent interaction with internal departments, operations, and customers)
-Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced setting
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
 
Salary
Salary is commensurate with experience and candidate qualities/capabilities
