With spring quickly approaching the Luxe Staff team has gathered our top advice for household staff preparing a household/estate for the spring.
Make a List
Scope out the entire household inside and out. Make a list of any areas that need a deep clean, reorganization or maintenance. It is important to remember to communicate with your employer as well. They will inform you of the areas they expect to be taken care of during your spring cleaning.
Schedule out the Tasks
Spring cleaning can feel overwhelming when you try to face all of it head-on. A better way to approach these tasks is to make a schedule for them. You can go room by room or perhaps tackle similar tasks on the same day. Regardless of how you decide to organize your tasks, having a plan will help you keep your focus on each task at hand. Ensure to make your spring cleaning schedule one that works best for you and your employer’s specific needs.
Work From Top to Bottom
The one important thing to remember when spring cleaning a home is to start from the ceiling and work your way down. Doing so will force debris downward and save you from having to re-clean the space.
Confidence is Key!
Don’t let spring cleaning scare or intimidate you as long as you have a list and a plan you’re set up to succeed. If you need help identifying what types of things should be on your cleaning list, you can download our free spring cleaning checklist here.
