Property/House Manager (Live-In)

Overview
Seeking a professional, proactive, and reliable Property/House Manager to manage, and participate in, the maintenance of a private family residence in the Bridle Path area of Toronto, ON. This is a full-time, permanent, live-in position. You must be flexible in your duties, be motivated while working under limited supervision, and be able to anticipate the needs of family and residence. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing a high-net-worth residence. One of the most important aspects of the job is to be working outdoors.

Primary Responsibilities

Exterior
- Doing landscaping 3 of the 4 seasons, in Spring, Summer, and Fall 
- Trimming, pruning flowers and plants, covering trees if needed, clearing fallen leaves and mowing lawns if needed to supplement the usual landscaper's work, etc

- In the winter, organize/cover outdoor furniture or move them inside, dust/clean outdoor pillows and store them properly, put outdoor decorating lights on around the holidays, etc.
- If snow removal is not done in a timely manner by the usual snow removal company, then the house manager will need to use the machine to clear a temporary path if the principals need to leave the property
-Maintenance of pool, alarm, light system, and irrigation

- Must have general, but ever-expanding, household maintenance skills to be able to make small repairs around property interior and exterior

- -Security surveillance of the property

Driver/ Chauffer
- Including running errands and driving principals 
-Run errands and perform necessary related tasks


Interior
Light housekeeping /house chores / odd jobs around the house.
- For example, taking care of indoor house plants, putting on Christmas decorations, wiping down surfaces if they see any unsightly areas, picking up / organizing items if they see things are out of place, organizing household supplies and breaking down boxes, etc.
- If deep-cleaning is needed occasionally, then all team members will need to participate.

-Manage and monitor household inventories and purchase household supplies

-Schedule home maintenance, repair, renovation work, and supervise projects 

-Supervise and manage contractors, trades, and vendors

-Supervise and manage household staff, including housekeepers, nanny, etc.


Job Requirements
- Candidates must have HNW/UHNW private residence working experience.
-5+ years (10 years is ideal) of work experience in a similar role
-Ability to anticipate the needs of the family
-Excellent communication skills
-Proven track record of being trustworthy, proactive, knowledgeable, responsible, and reliable 
-Have an eye for fine details
-Ability to manage trades and vendors
-Clear understanding of the importance of privacy and personal boundaries
-Eager to provide high-quality service
-Energetic with a strong work ethic

 

Certificates/Licenses

-Full Driving license and a clean driving record is required

 

Additional information

-Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8AM – 6:30PM with breaks throughout the day  (weekends may be required) 

-Accommodation provided: A full private suite in a shared staff house

- A work phone and vehicle will be provided

 

Salary
$95,000+ annually.

Salary is commensurate with experience and candidate qualities/capabilities
Regular health insurance to be provided after three month probationary period.
